The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processing chip was already officially launched last week. It will power the CPU 35% faster, support WiFi 7 and also support spatial audio. Among the device manufacturers confirmed to use this chip are OnePlus and Samsung.
OnePlus has already announced that their device that will use this chip is the OnePlus 11. Recently, the famous leaker Digital Chat Station revealed some details about the OnePlus 11. This device is said to use a ceramic construction and a metal frame – a first in the history of OnePlus.
It is also said to use the UFS 4.0 internal storage system which enables read and write rates twice as fast as UFS 3.1 which is 4,200MB/s read and 2,800MB/s write. But this feature looks likely to be limited to the OnePlus 11 Pro device only and will not be offered to the regular OnePlus 11. Does this mean OnePlus will offer two OnePlus 11 options and not be limited to just one model?
Previously leaked information suggested the OnePlus 11 Pro will use a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED 120Hz screen, 16GB RAM memory, 256GB storage, Hasselblad 50+48+32 Megapixel camera with 2x optical zoom telephoto sensor, as well as a 16 Megapixel selfie camera. The battery is expected to be 5000mAh with 100W charging support, and run Android 13.
