Samsung Galaxy S23 Will Be Equipped With Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Overclocked

Smartphones are not only important as a means of communication and browsing the web, but have recently become the mobile console of choice for gamers. High graphics capabilities along with ray tracing support will also be present. The latest rumors are starting to be heard on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip used will be overclocked.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is the flagship chip released for Android devices to date. The Adreno GPU used also promises a performance increase of up to 25% according to Qualcomm. In the update by Ice Universe, the CPU speed will be increased from 3.2GHz to 3.36GHz and the GPU from 680MHz to 719MH.

If the clock is overclocked, the performance will definitely increase. During the launch of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 last week, Qualcomm confirmed that there is a collaboration between the two companies with Samsung being the sponsor of the Snapdragon Elite Gaming competition.

Perhaps through this sponsorship, Samsung devices with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be tuned so that they can provide higher gaming performance than normal models. The extent to which these rumors are true will only be known when the Galaxy S23 series is launched early next year.
