The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission is now reminding the public to remain cautious and stay away from giving hateful views - especially involving race and religion.
SKMM will continue monitoring to curb the spread of unauthentic information, as well as ugly statements involving the king, religion and race.
The public is reminded that sharing false and obscene content is an offence, and can be fined a maximum of RM50,000 or a year in prison or both.
All parties are also requested to continue to respect the results of the election and the election of the Prime Minister.
