Although Spotify has issues with Apple, such as not being content with claiming that Apple is anti-competitive by not allowing them to sell e-books through the app until the update for iOS has been rejected several times. Spotify still wants their iOS users to receive the best user experience.
Recently, Spotify has introduced an update for their Apple Watch app. Through this update, users can more easily access content in Your Library and can directly download music or podcasts for offline listening with audio accessories.
Spotify also offers larger album art, new smoother animations and the ability to scroll to like a song. New episodes for a podcast will also have a blue dot to make it easier for users to distinguish between old and recent episodes.
The update has been rolling out in stages, but it still doesn't show up on the Apple Watch Series 8 I'm using.
