The Life of Twitter Employees After Being Controlled by Elon Musk

Elon Musk immediately made a major overhaul as soon as he took control of Twitter. It seems that the employees also feel uncomfortable with his leadership even though of course there is much that can be learned from the richest man in the world.

Here are some of the misfortunes that befell Twitter employees after Elon Musk became their boss:

Abandoned by many colleagues

About 3,700 Twitter employees around the world have been laid off by Elon Musk. The loss of thousands of colleagues will certainly make it uncomfortable for some of the Twitter employees who are still being retained.

It's possible that co-workers who are like friends suddenly have to leave or a team has been reshuffled because of this downsizing. This has the potential to decrease employee morale.

Rest days removed

So since the beginning of the Corona pandemic, Twitter has allowed employees to rest outside of leave and still get paid. This policy is intended so that they are not stressed in the midst of piling up work.

So, according to a related source quoted by Bloomberg, Elon Musk has abolished the rest day. Of course the richest man in the world intends for Twitter employees to work even harder.

No more WFH

Previously, Twitter was very lax in implementing WFH, aka work from home, but not anymore. "The path forward is difficult and will require intense work to be successful. We have also changed Twitter's policy such as remote work is no longer permitted unless you have specific exceptions. Managers will be sending the list to me for review and approval," Elon Musk wrote to employees.

"Starting tomorrow, everyone is required to be in the office a minimum of 40 hours per week. Of course, if you are physically unable to travel to the office or have important personal obligations, no-shows are understandable," he added.
