Twitter Tests Full Encryption Feature On DMs – Want To Compete With Signal?

Elon Musk wants to develop X, which is an all-in-one super-app. The first step in developing X was buying Twitter. Since Twitter was under his watch, many things have changed.

Twitter Blue users will have to pay RM34.90 to get a blue smear mark, the "Twitter for iPhone" label will be discontinued, the "Official" label will be introduced and then discontinued after a day and reinstated, and Twitter will also lose $4 million a day.

But that doesn't stop Twitter from continuing to be a good social media platform. Recently, Jane Manchun Wong found evidence that Twitter is testing a DM feature with end-to-end or full encryption support.

This feature is seen to have been developed since 2018 and only now is it being continued again. With the introduction of this feature, messaging through Twitter DM will be safer for users. But for now, this feature is only tested on Android devices.

Full encryption features through messaging platforms have already been introduced by WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Google Message and Signal. According to Elon Musk, he wants Twitter DM to compete with Signal.
