Vivo OriginOS 3 Based on Android 13 Now Official With a Focus on Smoothness

Vivo has finally launched their latest launcher OriginOS 3 which is based on Android 13. This year the focus is on smoothness when the device is in use. The Memory Fusion virtual memory expansion feature now supports up to 8GB of RAM. With smarter memory management, Vivo says OriginOS 3 can put up to 34 apps in the background without doing a refresh process.

Even more interesting, if the application needs to be closed to reduce RAM usage, OriginOS 3 will save the last data and freeze it. When the application is launched again, it will revert to the last data. This feature is certainly interesting in applications such as web browsers. Animations are also improved to look smoother even on devices with 60Hz screens.

For gamers, the first application can be run in a small window. Improvements to the Folder system and widgets have also been given. Beta testing for OriginOS 3 will be available later this month on flagship devices such as the X Fold, X Note and X80.
