Vivo V2 ISP Chip Announced With Improved Photography Capabilities

Vivo announced the Vivo V2 chip which is their third generation ISP release that provides an improvement to the photography capabilities of devices that use it. It is designed to be compatible with the latest MediaTek chips. Vivo's move is similar to what Oppo did on the MariSiliconX chip.

In terms of performance, V2 will reduce the time interval between image captures to 30ms. With this fast action sports can be captured with sharp image results. Ultra Zoom EIS technology combines multiple camera sensors simultaneously to capture high quality images at high zoom settings.

Through the built-in NPU, the ability of artificial intelligence reaching 16.3 TOPs can also be enjoyed. This is used to do post-processing on the picture and for the camera to make the best settings before the picture is taken. The Vivo V2 ISP will be used on the upcoming Vivo X90 device.
