War Thunder Edge Is The First To Support Ray Tracing On Android

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip was announced yesterday as the first from Qualcomm with built-in ray tracing support. With the hardware already on the way, the first question that supports it was answered with the announcement of War Thunder Edge.

Games that were previously only available on PC and consoles are now coming to mobile devices. Qualcomm confirmed itself that War Thunder Edge will be the first to support ray tracing on the first day of launch. Some demos of the Beta version that were shown this morning at the Snapdragon Summit show the difference in the graphics of the regular version and ray tracing.

Objects in the game look more realistic due to lighting that resembles the real world. On tanks for example the shadows on the tracks and wheels are clearly visible instead of just flat looking 3D objects. A beta mode for War Thunder Edge will be announced soon but the actual release date is still a mystery.
