Warner Bros. Want To Offer Free Video Streaming Platform With Ads

Warner Bros. or Warner Bros. Discovery is currently led by David Zaslav. With his supervision, various product production strategies, content production and business were reworked. Among them, their video streaming platform HBO Max will no longer continue to stream new movies released in theaters.

Recently, the Hollywood Reporter report revealed that the advertising market of Warner Bros. is very weak. In fact, it is weaker than the last COVID season. They also lost $3 billion in 2021 after spending $7 billion to produce content.

Now with HBO Max focusing on original content and only offering content that they feel will be loved by subscribers – Warner Bros. may return to profit.

In addition, they also intend to develop a free ad-supported video streaming platform to compete with Tubi and Pluto. But due to the high cost of developing this video streaming platform, it may not be launched anytime soon.
