The cyber security company released a list of dangerous applications that need to be removed from HP right now. It was Dr Web antivirus that released the data of the malicious application.
According to India Today, here is a list of dangerous applications as of November 2022 that you can immediately delete. Some are still available in the Google Play Store so you can tell your closest people such as friends and parents about the dangers of the application.
1. TubeBox (over 1 million downloads)
This application promises money for those who download the application. However, instead of being transferred to the downloader's account, the money will actually end up in the hands of fraudsters from this application.
2. Fast Cleaner & Cooling Master (downloaded 500 thousand times)
Another dangerous application is the 'Fast Cleaner & Cooling Master' application which only displays ads and slides proxies that can harm HP.
3. Bluetooth device auto connect (downloaded 1.15 million times)
Several applications containing new adware modules were also identified, one of which is this application. The module receives commands via Firebase Cloud Messaging and loads malicious websites into it.
4. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and USB driver (downloaded 1.15 million times)
Just like above, this application has an identified adware module.
5. Volume, Music Equalizer (downloaded 1.15 million times)
Just like above, this application has an identified adware module.
In addition to the application above, Dr Web also found an application with the Android.FakeApp trojan. This fake application is designed to get users to participate in surveys, register accounts, and submit applications to collect their personal information.
