Apple's 3nm Chips By TSMC Will Be Available In 2023

As we previously reported, Apple will start using processing chips with 3nm construction soon. As always, TSMC will be a supplier to Apple and they will start producing these chips in the near future.

The latest, according to a DigiTimes report by MacRumors – TSMC will start producing 3nm chips this week and Apple is their only major customer. This chip is expected to be for the Apple M2 Pro which will probably be used for the new MacBook Pro as well as the Mac Mini.

The production of this chip will reportedly start this week, December 29, and this chip will be ready for use starting in 2023. Apple is also expected to use this 3nm build chip for the iPhone, being one of the first because for now most devices including the iPhone 14 Pro still use 4nm build chips.

Sources also state that the Apple M3 and A17 Bionic chips will also most likely use 3nm construction by TSMC. Let's all look forward to further developments regarding the release of this chip later.
