Bankrupt, Crypto Master Accuses Ex-Boyfriend of Taking People's Money

FTX crypto trader Sam Bankman-Fried's ex-girlfriend, Caroline Ellison, reportedly made off with customers' money. The two are now called clashes and blame each other.

Bankman-Fried's arrest came after FTX and its affiliated companies filed for bankruptcy in mid-November. He and his colleagues are facing accusations that they illegally misappropriated FTX customer funds to prop up Bankman-Fried crypto trading firm Alameda Research, resulting in billions of dollars in lost customer funds.

After Bankman-Fried was accused of taking away customer money, Ellison reportedly hired a lawyer from the well-known firm Wilmer Hale. Ellison's hiring of Wilmer Hale comes amid the Manhattan US Attorney's efforts to file criminal charges against those responsible for one of the largest frauds in the history of the industry.

It was previously learned that in early November, the once popular crypto exchange FTX filed for bankruptcy because billions of customer funds stored in accounts -- which should be safe -- suddenly disappeared. Ellison and Sam Bankman-Fried also face civil fraud charges from the Securities and Exchange Commission. As a result, both Ellison and Sam Bankman-Fried could face years in prison if prosecuted and found guilty.

Ex-girlfriend figure: Caroline Ellison

Launch NY Post, Wednesday (13/12/2022) Ellison is a graduate of Stanford University and worked as a trader on Jane Street before getting in touch with FTX/Alameda.

In a podcast, Ellison said that he was not much different from most girls. He was also known as a smart kid even from a young age.

Ellison really liked Harry Potter and several times dressed as a fictional character in the book. That also makes him able to read quickly.

"I was a bit obsessed with Harry Potter when I was little. Originally, I was only 3 when the first book came out, my parents would read it aloud to me. And when I was 5, the second book came out, I didn't want to wait for my parents to read it to me, so I read it myself," he said.

In the midst of the current culminating case regarding FTX, Caroline Ellison's whereabouts are still a mystery. On his Twitter account, namely @carolinecapital, Ellison last tweeted on November 9, 2022.
