Another new change was made today by Twitter where the avatar of a verified business account is now displayed in a square shape. Previously all avatars on Twitter were displayed in a round shape. So far this feature has only been seen on the Web and iOS versions of Twitter.
Business accounts were previously displayed with a yellow smear mark. With a box-shaped avatar, the process of identifying authentic and genuine accounts will be easier in the future. Twitter Blue customers and those verified by Twitter are still displayed with a round avatar and a blue smear.
This morning Twitter Blue for Business was announced with it incentivizing businesses to subscribe as not only official accounts are given identity verification smears but also staff.
