A few months ago, Blackmagic Design announced that their professional video editing app DaVinci Resolve would be arriving for the iPad later this year. Now after about two months of waiting, this application is available for iPad users to download.
With DaVinci Resolve for iPad, Blackmagic promises editing support such as Hollywood-grade color correction, Blackmagic Cloud cloud service for collaborating with other users, artificial intelligence-based magic mask feature, voice isolation support, the ability to adjust dialogue and more.
This application also comes with touch screen support and Apple Pencil. Users can also use the desktop version of DaVinci Resolve files on the iPad and the supported file formats are H.264, H.265, Apple ProRes and Blackmagic RAW. This application is also free to download and use for all iPad users.
Only, Blacknmagic recommends that users use an iPad with an M1 chip if they want to enjoy a smoother user experience and use with a second screen and ProRes.
