Twitter CEO and owner Elon Musk is seeking legal action against Jack Sweeney, a University of Central Florida student who shared flight information on Musk's private jet via the account @ElonJet.
Musk announced his intentions on Twitter shortly after the social media company blocked the @ElonJet account and Sweeney's personal account. Musk also previously disclosed Twitter's new policy that prohibits users from sharing other people's real-time locations because it is considered doxxing.
In his tweet, Musk indicated that information on the flight put his family's safety at risk after his son X's car was followed by a stalker.
"Last night the car carrying Lil X in LA was followed by a crazed stalker (who thought it was me), who then blocked the car from moving and climbed onto the hood," Musk wrote in a tweet. /12/2022).
"Legal action will be taken against Sweeney and any organization that supports harm to my family."

Musk then uploaded a video showing a man suspected of being the perpetrator. The man was wearing a black hoodie and a ski mask that covered his face. The video also shows the license plate of the car the man was driving and Musk asked his followers if anyone recognized the man or the car.
The former richest man in the world did not explain what the connection between his private plane flight information and incidents involving his son.
Sweeney and his own @ElonJet account retrieve this information via publicly accessible air traffic data. Apart from Twitter, Sweeney also shared this information via Facebook and Instagram, but his account is still free without being blocked.
Musk has previously said he would not block the @ElonJet account for the sake of upholding free speech, even if the account threatens his personal safety. It is not known what made Musk change his mind.
