Chrome is a widely used web browser owned by Google, and one of the problems often associated with it is high memory usage – especially when using a lot of tabbed pages.
Now, Google in overcoming the problem, announced a new feature that will be available in a few weeks, called Memory Saver.
Through it, Chrome will save memory usage up to 30% compared to usual. This feature is achieved by temporarily pausing or sleeping a tab page, thus saving its memory usage.
The tab will reactivate when you need it.
Google has included this new feature with the latest Chrome 108 – but will be activated for all gradually over the coming weeks.
