The government is now introducing a new prepaid subscription package, called Pakej Perpaduan, through which it is aimed at youth users (up to 30 years old), B40, seniors, disabled and also veterans.
This package will be offered from February 2023. Among the companies that will offer this package are Celcom-Digi, Maxis, UMobile, TM and YES.
Under this package, customers will be given 30GB of data, and users will have to pay RM30 for access for 6 months. This is seen to bring the subscription cost to around RM5 per month according to a rough estimate.
Overall, this package is not something new, but is seen as a slight upgrade compared to the previous Youth Package, which offers 20GB access for 3 months at a price of RM30. This Youth Package was previously offered for a period up to April 2023.
Under the Unity Package, the internet speed is increased to 3Mbps, and the quota is increased to 30GB, as well as usage time of up to 6 months.
