In iOS there are two default health and fitness monitoring applications, namely Health and Fitness. Health is a local hub for privacy control and fitness and health data as well as for viewing aggregated data such as sleep, pulse scan, ECG, number of steps walked and more. On Android devices, apps like this don't exist except for third-party apps or system permissions in Android.
For Android 13, Google collaborated with Samsung for Health Connect which is a feature similar to Health on iOS by Apple. This application is required for third-party applications such as Fossil, Fitbit, Mobvoi to collect user health data.
In the future, Google will integrate Health Connect directly into Android 14. For now this feature is only available on Android 13 devices and those using Wear OS 3.0 smartwatches only. In Android 13 QPR2 Beta 1, Google started including Health Connect as one of the system apps.
