HP Explodes Kills Pasuruan Residents, This Is a Safe Way to Charge

The cell phone case exploded in Pasuruan killing one resident, another was rushed to the hospital. The room of their house caught fire because the cellphone exploded when it was being charged.

"We have confirmed the cause of the fire because the cellphone exploded when it was being charged," Prigen Police Criminal Investigation Unit Ipda M Zahari told us.

The case of a cell phone exploding while being charged is not actually the case once or twice, and it turns out that there are various factors that cause a cell phone to explode. To be sure, this is closely related to the HP battery. When something goes wrong, the components inside the lithium-ion battery can be damaged and cause a dangerous reaction that can cause a fire.

The main factor is overheating or overheating. For cell phone batteries, a chain reaction known as 'thermal runaway' can occur which can make a battery that overheats when charging becomes even hotter. Finally, HP can burn and even explode.

Then, what causes HP to overheat? Here are some things that can make HP hot:

1. Fall causing physical damage

2. The cell phone is left in the sun for a long time

3. Malware that makes the processor work extra hard

4. Error when recharging the HP battery.

Signs Your Phone Battery Will Explode

There are some warning signs you need to watch out for to prevent your phone battery from exploding. If you hear a hissing or popping sound coming from inside your phone, or you smell burning plastic, it's likely that your phone's battery is damaged and on the verge of catching fire.

Also pay attention to whether the phone feels very hot, especially when it's charging. If it gets too hot to the point of causing pain to the touch, unplug it from the charger immediately.

Another warning sign to watch for is a swollen battery. This can happen if the battery is physically damaged or there are internal components whose performance has decreased.

How to charge a safe cellphone so it doesn't explode

Avoid extreme temperatures. Valid for cold temperatures too, not just hot. Because it's 'unlawful' to put a cell phone in the refrigerator for whatever reason. The optimal temperature for the HP to work is 0-35 degrees Celsius. Also don't leave the cellphone in the sun for too long.

Don't put your cellphone on the bed when it's charging, let alone until you leave it to sleep. It could be that the cellphone is tucked in and pressed against a pillow so that the cellphone overheats.

Keep your cell phone away from flammable items while it is being charged.

Use the original charger from the vendor to avoid a short circuit if the item purchased is not suitable for your cellphone.

Make sure the charging head and cable are of the same type. Don't play as long as you plug the cable into the charger head of someone who isn't necessarily compatible with a cell phone.

Take care of the charging cable. Do not let the cable be damaged let alone until the fibers come out of the cable.
