iPhone 14 Plus In the same fate as the iPhone 13 Mini, both don't sell

When releasing the iPhone 12, Apple had the idea to release a mini version, which was then continued in the iPhone 13 Mini. But it failed, the iPhone was not sold and was no longer forwarded.

Then Apple had a new idea, releasing an iPhone with a large screen but not the Pro Max variant, which is of course cheaper. An idea that looks brilliant, but apparently failed too.

Actually, the idea of the iPhone "Plus" is not very new, because it was tried when the iPhone released the iPhone 6 Plus and continued until the iPhone 8 Plus. But it didn't continue after the iPhone changed its face from the iPhone X.

Actually, on paper the iPhone 14 Plus is an attractive iPhone. Because at a lower price than the iPhone 14 Pro Max, users can get a large screen and a large battery too, even bigger than the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

However, the sales data said otherwise. Reported by Digitimes, Pegatron -- one of the iPhone assemblers -- reported a decrease in revenue of 28.3% during November year over year and 13.9% compared to revenue in October. Part of that decline is due to lower demand for the iPhone 14 Plus.

For information, the new iPhone 14 Plus goes on sale on October 7. Unlike its other siblings, which have been sold starting September 16, we were quoted as saying from Phone Arena.

Indeed, there are also other causes for the decline in Pegatron's revenue, namely the weakening global economic conditions due to high inflation, which could weaken consumers' ability to buy premium-class cellphones.

Some analysts also predict that Apple will stop this Plus variant when releasing the iPhone 15, and the Pro Max variant will be replaced with the Ultra variant.
