Maybank today announced the introduction of a new feature on the Maybank2U and MAE applications, which is called Duitnow Request.
Through this feature, you can send requests to other people to pay you. You can set a value for a payment, and send the payment request to the recipient.
With this step as well, it is expected to make it easier for you to ask for money or debt from friends without feeling awkward.
For now, Maybank supports this Duitnow Request feature from users who use Duitnow at Maybank, Standard Chartered, Bank Islam, Bank Muamalt, Citibank, HSBC and even OCBC.
There is no charge for DuitNow Requests below RM5000, and for more than that, a 50 cent fee is charged. Users can access this feature through Maybank2U or MAE, and select the "Send & Request" category, then select Duitnow Request.
After sending, for the recipient of the payment notification, it will display the amount requested, and need to confirm to transfer the requested funds easily.
