Oppo has finally launched its first folding screen phone with a clamshell design. The mobile phone called Oppo Find N2 Flip comes with a larger external screen than its competitors.
The Oppo Find N2 Flip still uses the same Flexion hinge design as the Find N2, but the difference is that the Find N2 Flip folds vertically, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series. This hinge promises a barely noticeable crease in the main screen.
The main screen of the Oppo Find N2 Flip uses an AMOLED panel measuring 6.8 inches when opened. This screen supports a dynamic refresh rate of 1-120Hz, HDR10+ and a brightness level of up to 1,600 nits.
Meanwhile, the cover screen, aka the external screen, which is the champion, measures 3.2 inches, almost twice the size of the external screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 4. This screen uses an OLED panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz.
From the demonstration video exhibited by Oppo, this external screen can be used to take selfies, check and reply to messages, control music, and others.
In China, the Oppo Find N2 Flip is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset built using a 4nm process. This processor is combined with RAM up to 16GB and internal memory up to 512GB. The Oppo Find N2 Flip is equipped with a 4,300 mAh battery with 44W fast charging.
Oppo completes this folding screen phone with two rear cameras consisting of a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide camera. There is also a 32 MP selfie camera on the main screen. Do not forget that the MariSilicon X NPU chip is also embedded.
Currently the new Oppo Find N2 Flip is available in China. The good news is that this phone will soon be launched globally, and Oppo says there may be differences in specifications between the Chinese and global variants.
