Oppo announced today that they will also offer updates to four versions of Android and security patches for five years starting in 2023. Previously, only three versions of Android and security patches for up to four years were given.
But this better support will only be given to flagship devices first like the Find series. Oppo follows in the footsteps of Samsung and OnePlus who also gave the same commitment. The difference here is that Samsung also offers support for four Android versions and five years of these security patches on some mid-range devices as well.
This is a good start and hopefully Oppo will follow in Samsung's footsteps in the near future. In addition, Oppo also said that ColorOS 13 is now the fastest operating system updated by them with it being received on more devices than ColorOS 12.
