Pico is a brand for virtual reality headset products under Bytedance, the company behind TikTok. Their latest product is the Pico 4 which is a powerful compact portable virtual reality set.
In Malaysia, Pico is a brand that focuses on virtual reality products. Pico is also the first brand in Malaysia to officially offer this product on a large scale with offers ranging from bundle packages, discount prices, physical stores and good support services.
I have been using this Pico 4 as a daily virtual reality headset and will not use any other brand. Even though it's my favorite game and I've spent hundreds of ringgit on it, I'm still willing to use the Pico 4 because it's easy, fast, and can do what I want to do.

Pico 4 is a fairly light VR headset, which is less than 600 grams and the overall size is also compact and compact. The screen is 2.56-inch x2 with a resolution of 4320 x 2160 pixels on both, supporting a high refresh rate display of 90Hz, a wide viewing angle of 105 degrees. The battery is 5300mAh with 20W charging, there are 6 DoF sensors, a 9-axis sensor, several cameras and other additional lenses. With this camera and sensor makes Pico 4 unique because it supports see-through mode to see the real world without removing the headset. Switching between the real world view and the virtual world is also quick with just two taps.
The controls look neat, easy to operate, have haptic support and also protect the user's hands. So after a week of using it, this is one of the things I find interesting and you should all try it if you have bought a Pico 4.
Super Cool Translucent Mode
The first thing I tested was this! When the Pico 4 was announced, it included a colorful translucent mode feature. This mode is to change the screen view from the virtual world to the real world. I have never seen this feature on any other brand and when I tried it I was as excited as a happy child.
This feature is to set the playing space or the use of Pico 4 so that it does not bump into objects, people or hands hitting the wall. So there is a transparent color mode, the user can still be sensitive to the surrounding conditions.
Beautiful And Fast 4K Screen
Wide screens are usually expensive, just look at an 80-inch television that must cost tens of thousands. But with the Pico 4, a given video player application is like a beach with a tent or like a personal IMAX movie. Not only that, it also has a fast refresh rate for smoother and less dizzying movements for the user.
Not to forget, the screen resolution on the Pico 4 is 2160 x 2160 for each eye or 4K+ overall. To also not get tired and easily hurt when turning at any angle because of the Pico 4's light, balanced and compact construction.
Cool And Interesting Game
As with any smart device, an app store is a must if it wants to provide users with an ecosystem. Pico Store is for Pico 4 or any other Pico product. When accessing the Pico Store it will immediately list popular games from major studios. A recent example is Super Hot VR, a shooting game that I really like. Movement control is holding the control device like a gun and the body to dodge.
After The Fall is also an interesting game. It's a zombie fighting adventure with graphics just like an Android device. Pretty smooth, easy movement, wide world design, horror and horror. It is also a community game to play with other Pico users.
All-in-One Sports VR I also often play. Bowling most often because it's easy with bare-handed swings in the air. The most challenging for me is boxing where I have to punch and block quickly.
Finally I wanted to try to avoid video games, I tested MultiBrush which is a drawing application in a 3D world. User can select brush, texture, color then start painting. Layer after layer can be added to create 3D art results, vibration effects are also given, erasing is also smooth and what I like the most is – each drawing after drawing can be rearranged to repair, delete or add.

You can set maybe a monitor playing a YouTube video, in Pico OS one window is reading and, another is writing an article. With just a USB-C connection, it won't be a mess. It allows users to take Pico 4 anywhere as a mobile office.
Play Otherworldly Games To Stay Healthy
I admit, I am not a very healthy and active sports person. It's almost 2023, I started a resolution to take care of my diet and exercise outside because I haven't done it in a long time. But the Pico 4 overturned this resolution and took me on a pilgrimage to another world of the Pico 4's All-in-One Sports VR and CalSense sports games and health and fitness monitoring.
Pico uses a system called CalSesnse, where Pico 4 will use movement data and their software to determine calories burned, active time and how many laps. Not only that, it also allows users to create their own avatars and use them to communicate with other Pico users.
With the Pico 4 I became active in sports, just not in the real world and it was in the virtual world. It's just that even in the virtual world, I'm still not good at sports – but being active can still be healthy, right?
