Shopee Parent Company Aims To Face Economic Challenges In 2023

 


Sea, the parent company behind Shopee is now taking several steps in management in the face of 2023 which is expected to be even more challenging.


Previously, Sea was ready to lay off around 7000 or 10% of the workforce, in addition to saying that the top management will not take salaries until the company returns to generating income.


Through today's latest report, it is said that Sea will freeze salary increases, in addition to paying a low bonus for this year.


In terms of the platform's own offerings, some changes have been made in terms of coupon offerings, in addition to charges against sellers.


With 2023 approaching, it is expected to have more impact on the economy, which may indirectly affect all companies, especially internet-based companies.
