Shopee Will Increase Commission Charges To Sellers Starting January 10, 2023

Shopee is now updating the page for sellers, stating that it will increase the commission for sellers from 10 January 2023.

For information, previously, Shopee was willing to charge 2% for all items sold through their platform. Starting on January 10, 2023, it will show an increase, reaching between 2.5% and 4%, depending on the type and category of goods sold.

Through the table provided, electronic goods will be charged a commission of 2.5% to 4%, fashion goods of 4%, FMCG goods between 3% to 4%, and goods under the lifestyle category between 3.5% to 4%.

For information, this charge is without additional SST charge, and it is higher when included.

This charge will be applied to the sale of goods starting on January 10, 2023. Regardless, for sellers with less than 100 items sold will not be charged, and this commission charge is subject to sellers with more than 100 items sold only.

Shopee says with this increase in commission, it will allow them to operate more effectively, including in terms of customer service and also adding new features for sellers.
