Spotify Will Soon Be Able to Read Health Data of iOS Users

Who among readers listens to music while exercising? If I run on the treadmill, I like to watch TV series or short videos and rarely listen to music. Most music streaming platforms now, some offer different types of playlists and some are dedicated to working out.

Spotify is no stranger to diverse playlist offerings. In a 9to5Mac report, Spotify is said to be integrating their iOS app with Apple HealthKit. This is to allow Spotify to read the user's health and fitness data in order to suggest playlists according to their suitability.

Of course, if this feature is offered it won't happen automatically. On the other hand, Spotify needs to ask the user for permission to access data in Apple's Health app. With this feature later, Spotify can find songs that can motivate users according to their respective body conditions to continue exercising and stay healthy.

For now, it is still in development and it is not certain when this feature will be introduced to everyone. What do you think about this feature?
