Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa announced the Dear Moon Project last year, which would be the first private company to orbit the moon. A total of eight more individuals will be selected by him to participate in missions using spacecraft built by SpaceX.
Today Maezawa announced the eight selected individuals along with two more backup crews. Among those chosen are DJ Steve Aoki, and KPOP TOP star (Choi Seung Hyun). Besides them Yemi A.D (Czech Republic), Rhiannon Adam (Republic of Ireland), Tim Dodd (USA), Karim Iliya (UK), Brendan Hall (USA) and Dev Joshi (India) complete the main crew. Meanwhile Miyu (Japan) and Kaitlyn Farrington (USA) became the backup crew.
The Dear Moon mission aims to launch in 2023 and it will take eight days. A spaceship that carries a crew of artists, actors and sportsmen to inspire them.
