Tecno has come up with its first stand-alone laptop through the Megabook T1 which was announced during the IFA 2022 conference, during the day. This time they launched another more premium laptop called the Tecno MegaBook S1.
This is a very light and thin laptop with a thickness of around 13.5mm and a weight of 1.35kg. The 15.6-inch screen has a 3.2K resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The display on the laptop is also equipped with a number of other additional features such as a 120Hz refresh rate and can display 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut which is definitely useful for creative professionals.
In addition, this laptop also uses a 12th generation Intel Core i7 chip with a combination of 16GB RAM and internal storage up to 1TB SSD. The battery capacity is 70Wh with the advertised 45W charging capable of offering a full day's battery life with a single charge.
Other specifications include six built-in speakers with DTS:X Ultra support. Then there are also two built-in microphones with AI-based noise cancellation for clearer calls. A built-in web camera with smart AI support and NFC features that allow quick connections to be made with Tecno smartphones are also included.
For the price, the Tecno MegaBook S1 is sold at SAR1500 (~RM1753) with 512GB built-in storage. Meanwhile, the larger variant with 1TB storage costs SAR1600 (~RM1870).
