Tesla has launched a Qi wireless charger that can support up to three devices simultaneously. What makes it interesting is that the device can be charged regardless of where it is placed. This is a feature that Apple AirPower tried to provide but the product was canceled after the heating issue failed to resolve.
Each device can be charged wirelessly at a maximum power of 15W. To enable the device to be charged regardless of where it is placed on the charging pad, a total of 30 charging coils are used. Technology developed by FreePower is used to enable this feature.
In terms of design, this charger takes inspiration from Cybertruck. The surface of the charging pad is made of alcantara material to prevent the device from being scratched. The base part can be easily removed because it only uses a magnetic connection. The Tesla wireless charger is sold for $300 (~RM1328) starting February 2023.
