The Government Plans to Bring in Electric Cars Under RM100,000 to Malaysia

Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change - Nik Nazmi now says the government plans to bring in electric cars priced below RM100,000 to the Malaysian market.

With this move, it will allow more people to switch and use cars or vehicles generated based on electric power, replacing the use of gasoline today.

Today, most electric cars on the market cost more than RM100,000 and are seen as less friendly to all users.

Besides that, the minister also said that if we install vehicles in Malaysia, it will also help in reducing the selling price.

Several brands are ready to market electric cars in Malaysia, and Proton itself is expected to bring in the #Smart model and market it in Malaysia. Electric cars produced by Proton and Perodua are expected to take a few more years before being marketed.
