Oppo will launch two foldable screen phones of their Find N2 series today. Samsung has dominated this market for the past three years. The Motorola RAZR failed because it was not offered to a larger market. So next year other manufacturers will have to try harder to beat Samsung in this market.
Today a schematic image for a device claimed to be the Vivo X Flip has been leaked in China. Based on this image, it looks like a combination of Oppo Find N2 Flip and Vivo X Fold designs. There is a large secondary screen on the back of the device paired with a large camera bump.
So far there are no more details about the first compact foldable screen device from Vivo except that it will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Their Vivo X Fold this year was praised for having a neater design and a more powerful camera system than the Galaxy Z Fold4 .
Will 2023 finally be the year the foldable screen war takes place on a larger scale? We will find out after Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi launch their devices in the near future.
