TikTok Tests Display of Accompanying Videos

From the very beginning TikTok only supports vertical video display. Because of the popularity of this app, other platforms also started supporting vertical video display natively. But now they're doing tests that allow videos to be watched sideways according to a Techcrunch report.

In tests given to a small number of users, a square button to watch videos sideways was displayed on the screen. When pressed, the video will be displayed sideways and appear larger on the device screen. There is currently no information on whether this feature will be rolled out to all users or just a short-term test.

Netflix a few years ago tested allowing users to watch their videos on vertically held Android devices. This test was done in less than a week and until now this feature is not provided in their application.
