Apple rarely makes any announcements related to the suppliers or components used by them in the released devices, especially the iPhone.
However, now Tim Cook is on a tour in Japan, making a surprise and sharing with many that Apple is ready to cooperate with Sony for decades in using Sony's sensor as a camera on the iPhone.
Previously, many were ready to target Apple using Sony's sensor, but this is the first time confirmation has been made by Apple itself.
With this confirmation as well, it also gives the impression that Apple will continue to use Sony sensors in their upcoming iPhones.
