Tips - How to Activate or Deactivate 5G on iPhone

Finally this morning the iOS 16.2 update was given to iPhones that deserved it. In Malaysia it brings the most awaited feature which is 5G support on iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone SE Gen-2, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

If you use a telco network that supports 5G (sorry Maxis customers!), you can enjoy the fastest internet network post-update. But we are aware of a small number of iPhone users who say their phones cannot access 5G and some want to stay on 4G to reduce battery consumption.

This tip will help you activate or deactivate the 5G network on the iPhone.

Go to Settings > Mobile Data.

Go to Mobile Data Options.

Click on the Voice & Data option.

Choose to activate 5G automatically, always 5G or 4G.

You can now use 5G or 4G.
