Twitter Blue Subscription May Increase To $11 If Paid Through iOS App

Apple may be back to buying ads on social media platform Twitter, but Twitter seems to have its own plan to ensure that they have a way of not giving Apple money due to the issue of a 30% profit cut on any payment made through the iOS app payment platform.

Recently, Twitter has reportedly increased the price of their Twitter Blue subscription to $11 if payment is made through their iOS app, which is a 30 percent increase from their original subscription price of $8.

Not only that, Twitter is expected to lower the price of a Twitter Blue subscription to $7 if payment is made through the Twitter website. So far it is not known whether this price increase will apply to the Twitter application for Android or not.

Elon Musk has previously claimed that Apple does not believe in free speech when the company pulled ads from the platform for several weeks and has said that Apple is making excessive profits by asking for a 30 percent cut of in-app payments and subscriptions made through the platform.
