Twitter Now Shows Publicly Accessible Tweet View Counts

Another change has been made by Twitter today with the View Count feature that displays the number of times a tweet has been viewed by users directly below the tweet. Previously, the statistics of how many times a chip was viewed could only be seen if the graph icon was pressed by the chip owner. But with this update, these statistics can be seen publicly by other users.

According to Elon Musk, this feature will allow Twitter users to see for themselves how "alive" Twitter is. Musk added that it is normal to display how many times the content has been viewed on video and it is now being developed also on text messages. At this time this feature is already accessible to users on the web, Android and iOS.
