The Vivo S16 series has finally been officially announced in China, today. It consists of three different variants which include Vivo S16, S16 Pro and S16e. The finishing elements used look similar to each other, but there are differences in terms of internal hardware.
Vivo S16 and S16 Pro are equipped with a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It was then matched with the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chip for the S16 Pro, while the S16 uses the Snapdragon 870.
For camera settings, the main tri-camera is used with 64MP + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro) settings on the S16 model. Meanwhile, the pro model consists of 50MP (OIS) + 12MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro). Also included is a 50MP selfie camera on both these smartphones.
The memory option is up to 12GB RAM with matching internal storage up to 512GB. Then, the included 4,600mAh battery supports a 66W wired charging system. All the aforementioned features have been loaded into a smartphone with a curved body on the front and back panels.
Next is the Vivo S16e which is a smartphone with a boxy body. The front screen is a perforated 6.62-inch AMOLED FHD+ that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The Exynos 1080 chip is used as the mainstay, in addition to memory options of up to 12GB RAM and internal storage up to 512GB.
The battery capacity is 4,600mAh with 66W wired charging. Also included is a 50MP + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) main camera and a 16MP selfie camera. Other specifications include running OriginOS 3.0 based on Android 13.
For the price, the S16 is sold with a starting price of RMB2499 (~RM1582), RMB2699 (~RM1708) and RMB2999 (~RM1898). Meanwhile, the pro variant starts at RMB3299 (~RM2,088) (12GB/256GB) and RMB3599 (~RM2,278) (12GB/512GB).
Finally, the S16e is priced at RMB2099 (~RM1328) (8GB/128GB), RMB2299 (~RM1455) (8GB/256GB) and RMB2499 (~RM1582) (12GB/256GB). Currently, there is no information on availability outside of the Chinese market.
