Xiaomi Watch S2 Launched With Body Composition Measuring Features

 


The Xiaomi Watch S2 has been officially announced in China, as well as the new updated variant of the wearable device by Xioami. It comes with a round metal frame that is matched with Sapphire glass protection. Also included are two oval-shaped physical buttons on the right side for more diverse controls on the watch.



There are two size variations available which is 42mm with a 1.32-inch screen. Meanwhile, the 46mm model has a 1.42-inch screen. Both also feature an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 466 X 466 pixels with Always-On-Display capabilities.



The included health and fitness sensors are also diverse. It includes the ability to charge heart rate, daily pressure rate, blood oxygen monitoring and sleep pattern tracking. In addition, it also comes with a body composition measurement feature that can measure up to 8 types of body health data including fat, skeletal muscle mass and protein.



A brand new tracking feature is also included, where users can send emergency messages via the watch's built-in hotkeys. The bluetooth calling feature is also supported due to the built-in microphone and speaker. It can also be used to summon XiaoAI's virtual assistant.


The 500mAh battery used can last up to 12 days of use, at the same time the 5ATM water resistance feature is also provided as additional protection. Other specifications include GPS, Beidou, GLONASS, bluetooth 5.2 support and running MIUI Watch which also supports third-party apps.



For the price, the Xiaomi Watch S2 is sold in China at RMB999 (~RM632) (42mm), while the leather strap is at RMB1199 (~RM759). The Xiaomi Watch S2 46mm is priced at RMB1099 (~RM696) and RMB1299 (~RM822) for the leather strap.
