Apple Reportedly Prioritizes Development of Augmented-Reality Operating System – xrOS Over iOS 17

Bloomberg now reports that the development of Apple's own augmented reality operating system, known as "xrOS" is now receiving the main focus - at the same time attracting resources from the development of the new generation operating system iOS and also macOS.

This step was taken to ensure the development of Apple's augmented reality set can be achieved according to the targeted schedule. Apple has previously been said to possibly introduce their augmented-reality set by the first quarter of 2023 or at the WWDC event later.

Regardless, due to the focus and use of resources from other teams, it is expected to impact the development of new features on iOS as well as macOS this year.
