After more than a decade of developing robots, Boston Dynamics now has several models that can be used in warehouses to help reduce the need for human labor. Yesterday Boston Dynamics demonstrated the capabilities of their Atlas robot at a construction site.
In the 80-second video above, Atlas' ability to assist human workers is showcased while simultaneously showing off previously shared acrobatic feats. This video shows how Atlas can build bridges, pick up objects and do somersaults like a gymnast.
Atlas still doesn't have any commercial use like Spot, Stretch and Handle which are also offered by Boston Dynamics. But if in the future humans need construction site workers who are experts in Parkour, Atlas is the robot most suitable to use.
