An Australian woman confided in being ghosted by an Indonesian man. They made an appointment to have a date in Bali, but in the end they ended up eating their hearts out. Jess Austen (@jesszautsen) is a figure who experienced this unpleasant incident.
Quoting Next Shark, Austen has exchanged messages with the guy several times via direct messages on Instagram for several months. They finally agreed to go on a date in Bali because they were both single at the time.
After traveling six hours from Australia to Bali, Austen said he had not heard from the man. However, Austen didn't worry right away as they had planned to spend a week together. However, what happened next, the man kept pushing back the date of their meeting until he finally stopped replying to Austen's messages.
In the last seconds of the video, Austen reveals the soap opera-like incident he experienced. After getting annoyed and trying to enjoy Bali without the man's presence, Austen actually met the man who dumped her on the flight home.
"He was sitting in front of me so I saw him in real life and at least made sure he wasn't a catfish," he said.

The man apologises
According to the latest from News AU, the man has finally explained why he made her disappear after the video went viral. After Austen's story went viral and was reported, the man texted her and apologized. He also gave reasons why he was suddenly ghosting.
"He told me that he had met someone in Lombok and he felt very embarrassed because he took me all the way there so he just disappeared," she said.
"I explained to him about how cowardly it was and that he shouldn't have invited me if he was going with the intention of meeting anyone and going with the flow. There was clearly no intention of meeting me even though he invited me. It was so mean," he said.
