Developers Behind MSI Afterburner Overclocking Software Stop Software Updates

MSI Afterburner graphics card overclocking software is one of the important software to enable people who own gaming computers to get the best performance from their graphics card.

This software is updated and maintained by an individual from Russia named Alexey Nicolaychuk or better known as Unwinder. He developed and updated the MSI Afterburner software for a long time by himself, and was usually paid by MSI for this.

However, recently he has released a statement saying that due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, along with various economic sanctions imposed on Russia, MSI has not paid for his efforts for a year.

The reason given by MSI according to Unwinder is that it is a political issue, where it may be because the Russian banking system can no longer accept money from abroad for the time being.

Even so, he continued to update the MSI Afterburner software during that time because of his interest in the development of computer components. However, after a year of not being rewarded for his efforts, the latest MSI Afterburner update looks set to be his last for now.

Unwinder says that he will be looking for a new job to pay the bills as well as his monthly rent, and hopes that the development of the software can continue in the future.
