Exasperated! Black Bear Find Camera, Instantly Take 400 Selfies

Wildlife cameras at Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) in Colorado, United States of America have captured quite unique sightings. Because the camera is used by a black bear to take hundreds of selfies.

The black bear can be seen posing for a motion-detecting camera. On one camera alone, the bear takes 400 selfies.

"Of the 580 photos (camera) caught around 400 are bear selfies," OSMP said followed by a laughing emoji in his tweet on Twitter, as quoted by the BBC, Monday (1/30/2023).

Most of the animals at OSMP in Boulder City usually only pass through this camera in search of food or a place to rest. However, according to an OSMP spokesperson, this bear was unique because he was immediately attracted to the camera he found.

OSMP immediately shared some of the selfies the bear took on Twitter. Netizens immediately responded with various tickling comments.

"I think I look good from the front, but what about the side? Is my muzzle too long?" one Twitter user joked.

"Sure I should hibernate, but first let me take a selfie," joked another Twitter user.

OSMP itself has nine wildlife cameras spread over an area of 46,000 acres. These wildlife cameras were installed to reveal how animals use the environment so OSMP can recommend steps to protect sensitive habitats.

Another advantage of this wildlife camera is to minimize the arrival of humans in the environment. The camera can not only take photos following animal movements, but also videos that last 10-30 seconds.

The camera in OSMP usually captures the activity of bears, birds, foxes and owls. The camera is placed in an area that is heavily traversed, which can be seen by the presence of footprints and paths made by animals.
