Wear OS 3.x is undeniably one of the best smartwatch operating systems for Android devices. This is proven on the Fossil Gen 6 and Samsung Galaxy Watch4/Watch5 watches. But for old watch models, many still haven't received this update even though it's been more than a year since Wear OS 3.x was introduced.
Recently, Google has updated the Google Maps application on Wear OS to support the use of turn-by-turn directions without the need for a smartphone. This means, users can rely on the clock completely.
But it's not that easy, as this support can only be used on Wear OS 3.x watches that support LTE connectivity only. Where, Wear OS watches with SIM or eSIM card support are not widely offered in Malaysia. In fact, for those running Wear OS 3.x it's not there yet.
