Undoubtedly, the use of emoji in giving certain reactions actually brings a sense of fun. In fact, it also helps describe someone's feelings, whether happy, understanding and so on. Google has finally rolled out emoji reaction support for the Meet app, where users can silently send reactions during meeting calls.
Further sharing, this feature can be accessed by clicking on any of the new icons in the voice control. These include hearts, thumbs up, clapping, laughing and sad. This reaction will then appear as a small floating icon on the left side of the sender's video screen. Users can also see emoji icon dumps generated if there are many forms of interaction that occur.
In addition, the color settings on the emoji icon can also be customized which according to Google can symbolize the user's own identity. At the same time, this option can also be saved to the user's own profile. This feature is enabled by default, but can still be turned off via admin or host settings only.
For now, it can only be used on Google Meet on the web and iOS devices. This includes for all Google Workspace users that include personal Google accounts, G Suite Basic and Business. Support for Android devices will be provided in the future.
