GPTZero Developed by Princeton Students to Track ChatGPT Generated Works

ChatGPT is only a few weeks old and has already created various problems for academics as it is being used by students to delay producing assignments. Edward Tian a student from Princeton will solve this issue after producing GPTZero software.

According to Tian, the software was developed specifically to counter the problem of using ChatGPT by students to take short cuts and plagiarism. GPTZero was developed during the new year holidays by him with it being opened as Beta software on January 3rd.

Tian did not expect GPTZero to be so popular with hundreds of applications received to use it. After GPTZero was launched, he received messages from various investment firms such as A16Z, and Menlo Ventures who were interested in the software produced by Tian.
