Jeff Bezos was satirized as following Elon Musk's business steps by tech enthusiast Kim Dotcom. Musk seemed to be joking and then commented that it was all 'maybe just a coincidence'.
"Elon built a rocket, Jeff copied Elon. Elon built an electric car, Jeff copied Elon. Elon built a brain-computer link, Jeff copied Elon and Bill copied Steve," wrote @KimDotcom on Twitter, followed by a laughing emoji.
"Maybe it's a coincidence🤷," Musk said after a while.
Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk do have a relationship that seems not so good. In fact, the two of them several times teased and attacked each other.
Musk's SpaceX and Bezos' Blue Origin are competing for federal contracts and to establish themselves as the world's leading space tourism companies. Separately, Amazon has launched Project Kuiper, an initiative to build a 'constellation' of internet satellites to rival SpaceX's Starlink system.
When Amazon first announced Project Kuiper in 2019, Musk tweeted that Bezos was a 'copycat'. Last year, Blue Origin waged a legal battle -- which ultimately failed -- in which it accused NASA of unfairly awarding SpaceX a lunar lander contract.
