At CES 2023, Lenovo celebrated their 30th anniversary. With the various products that Merak has launched, one of the interesting ones is the new smartphone, the Lenovo ThinkPhone. It is an Android smartphone that focuses on enterprise users and also tight security.
First of all, this device comes with a 6.6-inch pOLED FHD+ screen, powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip paired with 8/12 GB RAM memory and up to 512GB internal storage. This device uses a 50+13+2 Megapixel camera with a 32MP selfie camera. ThikPhone runs the Android 13 operating system with up to 4 years of update support.
As a security-focused device, it is loaded with the ThinkPad security system, ThinkShield, and also has the Moto Threat Defense system. Inside the device, there is also Moto Secure as a security hub for control and monitoring by the user including pin reshuffling support. ThinkPhone also has Moto KeySafe that can store password data with anti-hacking protection.
The ThinkPhone is built with an aircraft aluminum frame and aramid fiber back panel, the screen is protected with Gorilla Victus glass, and has IP68 protection and meets MIL STD 810H durability standards. Also available is a red physical button that can be modified to launch the user's favorite applications.
ThinkPhone is also loaded with Think 2 Think by Ready For to support Instant Connect can be directly connected to a laptop quickly, Unified Clipboard where the phone and computer clipboard are parallelized, as well as notifications that can be seen on both connected devices. File Drop support is also included for fast data transfer, Android applications can be streamed on Windows, ThinkPhone can also be used as a laptop webcam and most interestingly there is Instant Hotspot support for automatic connection.
Various enterprise applications are also provided such as Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365. The device's battery is 5000mAh with 68W Turbo Charge fast charging support as well as 15W wireless charging. The device is also equipped with an under-screen fingerprint scanner.
Lenovo ThinkPhone will be launched in the US, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Australia and selected Asian countries at a date to be announced later. The sale price has also not been revealed yet. What do you think of this device and will you buy it if it launches in Malaysia?
